If an important file was removed after running PC Cleaner, here's what you need to know and how to prevent similar issues in the future.
Important Note:
Unfortunately, once PC Cleaner deletes files, it is generally not possible to restore them. Some of the changes can be reversed using the Log & Undo option. However, you can take steps to prevent this from happening again.
Preventive Measures
Review Before Deletion
- PC Cleaner allows you to review the list of registry keys, files, and cookies that will be removed before confirming the scan.
- This helps prevent the accidental deletion of important files.
Exclude Important Files
- To exclude certain items from PC Cleaner scans, uncheck them in the list or add them to the exclusion list.
- For detailed instructions on adding items to the exclusion list, refer to this article: Add Items to Exclusion List.
Create Backups
- Regularly back up important files to an external drive or cloud storage to ensure they can be recovered if accidentally deleted.
