This feature is only available in Driver Updater Pro.
The Secure Vault feature safeguards your sensitive files, photos, and videos by storing them in an encrypted vault.
- Open the Toolbox section.
- Select Secure Vault.
- Click Next to set up your secure vault.
- Enter and confirm the master password.
Note: the password cannot be recovered if you forget it.
- Check the box to accept that you acknowledge that you will lose access to any encrypted files stored in the secure vault if you forget the password.
- Click on the Create Vault button.
- Click the Add file button to add a file to your secure vault.
- A browse window will open for you to choose a file from your PC.
- The file will appear in the list with the status encrypted.
- The files you add to your secure vault will now have the Driver Updater icon.
- When you try to open the encrypted file from your PC, the Driver Updater will open asking you the master password of the secure vault.
- Enter the password and click the Login button.
- Select the file and click on Open to view it.
- The dialog window will appear informing you that the file will be decrypted to open it. Click OK.
- Your file will then open.
- You can also select the file and click the Delete button.
- Click Delete to delete the file from your PC.
- Click Remove to remove the file from the secure vault. The file will stay on your PC.
